1. Data Controller

For any matter relating to the processing of personal data, the Controller may be contacted at support@foliocore.pro.

2. Data processed during browsing

2.1 Merely browsing the Website does not entail the collection of any identifying personal data by the Controller. The Website is built as a static site and uses no cookies, pixels, web beacons, profiling tools or traffic-analysis systems (e.g. Google Analytics).

2.2 As with any online service, the IT systems and software procedures of the hosting provider may, in the course of normal operation, acquire certain technical data (e.g. system logs, IP addresses) whose transmission is inherent in the Internet communication protocols. Such data is processed by the hosting provider solely for technical, security and diagnostic purposes and is not used by the Controller to identify users.

3. Cookies

3.1 The Website does not install any cookies, whether technical or for profiling, and uses no similar tracking technologies. For this reason, no cookie-consent banner is displayed and no choice is required from the user.

4. Data processed when contacting us by email

4.1 Should the user choose to send a communication to support@foliocore.pro (for example, for information or support requests), the Controller will process the personal data contained in that communication, namely: the sender's email address and any personal data voluntarily included in the message text or any attachments.

4.2 Purpose. Such data is processed solely to respond to the user's request and to manage the related correspondence. The data is not used for marketing, profiling or the sending of promotional communications.

4.3 Legal basis. The processing is based on the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and/or on the Controller's legitimate interest in responding to the requests received (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4.4 Nature of the provision. Providing the data needed to respond is optional, but failure to provide it makes it impossible to handle the request.

5. Processing methods

5.1 The data is processed using electronic and email tools, applying technical and organizational measures appropriate to ensure its security, integrity and confidentiality, and to prevent unauthorized access, loss or destruction.

5.2 Processing is carried out by the Controller and by persons authorized to process data under its direct authority.

6. Retention period

6.1 Personal data contained in email communications is retained for the time strictly necessary to handle the request and to follow up on any related correspondence. Thereafter, the data is deleted or retained only for any period necessary to comply with legal obligations or to protect the Controller's rights in legal proceedings.

7. Data recipients

7.1 The data is not disclosed or transferred to third parties for their own purposes.

7.2 The data may be processed, on our behalf and as data processors (Article 28 GDPR), by service providers strictly necessary for the operation of the Website and the mailbox, in particular the hosting and email service providers. Such parties act on the basis of the Controller's instructions and appropriate data-processing agreements.

7.3 The data may also be disclosed to competent authorities where required by law.

8. Transfer of data outside the European Union

8.1 The Controller prefers providers that process data within the European Union. Should a provider (e.g. the email provider) process data in third countries, the transfer will take place in compliance with the safeguards provided for by Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR (e.g. adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses).

9. Rights of the data subject

9.1 As a data subject, the user has the right, within the limits and under the conditions set out in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, to:

• obtain confirmation of the existence of processing and access to their personal data;
• obtain the rectification of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data;
• obtain the erasure of the data ("right to be forgotten");
• obtain the restriction of processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• exercise the right to data portability;
• withdraw any consent given, without prejudice to the lawfulness of prior processing.

9.2 These rights may be exercised at any time by writing to support@foliocore.pro. The Controller will respond within the time limits provided by applicable law.

10. Complaint to the Supervisory Authority

10.1 A data subject who believes that the processing of their data infringes the GDPR has the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU Member State of their residence, workplace or place of the alleged infringement.

11. Minors

11.1 The Website is not directed at minors and does not knowingly collect personal data of minors. Should a minor have transmitted personal data to us, the parent or guardian may contact us for its deletion.

12. Changes to this Policy

12.1 The Controller reserves the right to amend or update this Policy, including as a result of regulatory changes. The updated version will be published on this page indicating its effective date. Users are invited to review it periodically.

FolioCore macOS Application Privacy Policy

StrategicaMente S.r.l. built the FolioCore application as a professional desktop app. This service is provided by StrategicaMente S.r.l. and is designed to be used as a local-first, air-gapped application.

1. Data Processing and Local Storage

FolioCore processes all your documents, semantic search vectors (embeddings) and metadata locally on your Mac using Apple's CoreML, the Qwen3 Embedder and on-device LLM technologies. Your documents, local database (GRDB/SQLite) and analysis history never leave your device. We do not have access to, nor do we collect, store or transmit your documents or personal archive.

2. Third-Party AI Services (Optional)

If you explicitly choose to use a remote Large Language Model (LLM) for an optional feature, the app will securely store your personal API keys inside the macOS native Keychain. When using a remote LLM, only the relevant content you select is sent directly to the third-party provider of your choice (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) according to their respective privacy terms. This process is strictly triggered by manual user action and is disabled by default.

3. Customer Support Data

If you contact our support team via email (support@foliocore.pro), we will only use your email address and any shared information to resolve your technical inquiries. This data is never shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
